The second season of PC espionage thriller is set to land February 22nd and promises to be darker than the original base game and will induct players into a secret department of Orwell amid explosive civil unrest.
Developer Osmotic Studios and indie label darlings Surprise Attack Games today announced that 22nd February will be the start date of Season Two. The first episode of Ignorance is Strength will launch alone on 22 February with episodes two and three releasing as bi-weekly updates afterwards.
In support of the announcement and to showcase additional details on Season Two, a new trailer for Orwell: Ignorance is Strength has been produced, which you can see below.
If you’re not familiar with Orwell I can tell you first hand that’s a well produced, dystopian thriller where you play the role of a shady surveillance officer enrolled in a programme/organisation known as The Office to work with a programme named Orwell (incredibly on the nose but hey it works). Your job is track enemies of the state by hacking into and scrutinising every aspect of their life via their online activities and building a profile of them until you can their intentions or actions against the state. While it is incredibly entertaining it’s also disturbing in places as you become immersed in the shady cyber spying backdrop.
Episodes of season two, Orwell: Ignorance is Strength will be released as follows:
Episode One: Thesis – February 22
Episode Two: Antithesis – March 8
Episode Three: Synthesis – March 22
Purchasing the game at any time will get you all three episodes.
